Take That, Rain!

We've had some kinda winter here in Ontario!
THE
worst one I can remember in a very long, long time.
So,  now with winter officially behind us and Spring apparently upon us,
I am hopeful for sunshine.
In the meantime, however, I know we need the rain.
So, I am choosing to embrace it!
By embrace it, I mean I choose to spend far too much money on fresh flowers,
candles, new accessories for the house...and maybe a new dress!
Retail therapy is far cheaper than regular therapy, right?

Sunshine, Lovely Sunshine!

Not sure where you live but here in Canada, eh, we've had one heck of a winter.
Cold. Snow. Grey. Long.
Yep, that about sums it up!
Today, however, the sun is shining and it has put a kick in our step.
We are super busy working on finalizing some new formulations, getting our new website ready to launch, planning photo shoots, and delivering the loot from our recent giveaway!
Whew!
So, no matter what part of this beautiful world you live in, we hope you have a happy, love filled day!

Seasons of Parenting

It is always so intersting to me to watch my partner, Anna, with her kids.
Although we are both parents, our kids are clearly at different stages in their lives.
Anna - 3 young kids.  Me - 1 teenager.
If you parent young children, you know how physically demanding it can be.
Exhausting, actually.
Fast forward to parenting a teenager - well, it's exhausting in a whole different way.
An emotional marathon of sorts.
Sometimes you feel like - "Wow- I've got this!"
Other times - not so much.

So, today, as I dropped my sweet, soon to be 16 year old daughter off at her boyfriends house (sigh)
I suddenly saw the passage of time like no other.
It simply goes by - time that is.
And fast!
So, no matter what season you're in right now parenting your little lovelies, enjoy.
Before you blink, you'll be in yet another season.
A season where they need you significantly less in some ways, and more in others.
My girl, Hannah, on the left.

Sniff-sniff.

Sunday and Giveaway

Ah, Sunday...
how I adore you!
Time to relax, reflect, and rejuvenate for the upcoming week.

Even if life pulls me in a ton of different directions on Sunday,
I try and carve out a little time just for myself.
Having a teenager in the house makes this easier now than ever, but even when she was younger,
I felt it necessary to have a little "me" time.
It made me a better mother. A  better wife. A better daughter to aging parents.

So, if you can only grab a quick coffee, a relaxing shower, or a few minutes on
do it!

You'll be better off for it!

Happy Sunday!

REMEMBER:
Only one more sleep until we launch our
Pay it Forward Giveaway!
Stay tuned tomorrow for all the details!
